Tessa LeFavour, Registered Counselor Intern, MA

About Me

Hello, my name is Tessa!
I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with you! I am very family oriented
and love to spend time with my husband, children and grandchildren, and of course our
fur babies! Our family loves to spend time exploring small towns, forgotten places and
spend the rest of our free time on the racetrack.
My life’s work has always been about helping others in any way that I can. I work with
individuals from various backgrounds from young to old, to everybody in between. I am an ally of the
LGBTQ+ community and want you to know that you are safe here.

I hold a Master’s degree in clinical mental health from Southern New Hampshire
University. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in child psychology and specialize in working with
individuals from all walks of life.

Therapeutic Approach

I work from a client–centered/whole person approach, which means that you hold the
knowledge of you. I have not walked in your shoes, but I want to work with you to help you
build the skills you are seeking. Your journey is unique to you, and I want to help you form
and achieve goals that help you feel whole. I use CBT as a therapeutic approach but
there is no one size fits all therapy so as we work together to recognize skills and goals
that you want to build, I will pull from all modalities to help you succeed. I also find that
Play therapy is a great modality for our younger client’s and can help in a variety of
goals in clients of all ages. We will work in a supportive environment where you as the client
are able to share your thoughts and concerns openly. I want you to feel free to be who you are.

I have loved coming to Middleton Counseling. After having a bad experience with my first counselor, coming here was a great relief. They are so kind and friendly and I always feel safe and comfortable talking to them.

Middleton counseling has been very helpful and easy to work with. I had a session of the accelerated resolution therapy had have been pleased with the out come. Highly recommend.

A wonderful experience. I enjoy going there.
